TRENDING: Bayo Onanuga Under Fire Again for Miscommunication Within Presidential Media Team

Tegic Media gathered that yesterday, President Tinubu’s main Twitter account and the official Nigerian Presidential account posted a video where he addressed Nigerians, acknowledging that the nationwide hardship is due to the removal of the fuel subsidy. He assured Nigerians that the government is committed to making life easier for them.
Tinubu posted the video around 3 PM. By 10 PM, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, claimed the video was fake, outdated, and should be disregarded. A few hours later, as usual, Mr. Bayo deleted his tweet.
As a result, some Nigerians are now calling for his resignation, citing his apparent disconnect from the presidency’s activities. This isn’t the first time Mr. Bayo has publicly refuted a Presidential claim, only to retract his statement after facing backlash.
