Peter Obi Won’t Contest In 2027 – Bwala
A presidential special adviser, Daniel Bwala has said that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour during the 2023 election, will not be the flagbearer of any political party, including the African Democratic Congress.
He also noted that the former Anambra Governor may not get the vice president slot.
He disclosed this on Wednesday during an interview with Channels Television.
Bwala noted that the votes Peter Obi garnered at the 2023 election had been reduced by 50 percent.
He bragged that President Tinubu will secure two million votes in the south-east region in 2027.
“He is not going to get a ticket in any of the parties. That is Peter Obi. The problem now is that he might not get the vice presidential ticket from the way things are going.
“Whether Peter Obi is a ticket bearer of the party, he has lost his 50 percent of votes because they were not votes built on agenda and politics, but they were built on rhetoric and division, and Nigeria’s people’s eyes are open,” he said.
Recall that Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and other political heavyweights in July 2025 backed ADC as the platform for the opposition coalition to unseat President Tinubu.
