Nike Unveils Bold New Super Eagles Kits for 2026 Season
Sportswear giants Nike have officially revealed the new home and away kits for Nigeria’s senior national team, the Super Eagles, ahead of the 2026 football season.
The kits, released via the company’s official platforms, showcase a blend of innovation and cultural expression, reflecting Nigeria’s identity both on and off the pitch.
In unveiling the designs, Nike said the collection aims to challenge traditional aesthetics while maintaining performance standards for modern football.
“The disrupt convention with bold twists on icons,” the company stated, adding that the kits feature “innovation… engineered for the needs of the modern footballer, from kick-off to the final whistle.”
The home jersey adopts a predominantly white base accented with green detailing, including green hoops on the sleeves and shorts. The word “Naija” is boldly inscribed across the chest, reinforcing national identity and fan connection.
In contrast, the away kit embraces a darker green palette with stylised patterns, offering a modern reinterpretation of Nigeria’s traditional colours.
The new kits are expected to be worn during Nigeria’s upcoming fixtures, including matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
Nike noted that the design integrates advanced fabric technology to enhance player comfort and performance, aligning with global standards for elite football apparel.
The unveiling has already sparked conversations among fans and stakeholders, with attention focused on the bold design choices and the continued fusion of sport and Nigerian street culture.
With the latest release, the Super Eagles join other top national teams unveiling new kits ahead of a packed international football calendar, as anticipation builds toward the 2026 global showpiece.
