Loud Explosion Rocks Jerusalem as Iran Bombs Israel
A loud explosion rocked Jerusalem on Tuesday morning after Iran launched a fresh wave of missiles toward Israel, marking another escalation in the ongoing regional conflict.
Iran’s state broadcaster announced the attack, declaring that it had fired a “new wave of missiles at occupied territories,” while claiming that some projectiles penetrated Israeli air defence systems.
Moments after the announcement, explosions were heard in Jerusalem, raising alarm across the city as air defence systems moved to intercept the incoming threats.
The Israeli military confirmed it had detected multiple missiles and was actively working to neutralise them, issuing alerts to residents as sirens sounded in affected areas.
Emergency responders from Magen David Adom released footage showing damage to a building in northern Israel, though authorities said no fatalities were recorded from that particular strike.
The latest attack is part of a broader pattern of sustained missile exchanges between Iran and Israel, with Tehran increasingly deploying repeated barrages aimed at overwhelming Israel’s defence systems. Recent attacks have triggered explosions across major cities, including Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, forcing civilians into shelters and disrupting daily life.
Regional tensions have surged in recent weeks, with both sides intensifying military operations. Iran has continued to launch waves of missiles despite international pressure and conflicting signals around possible diplomatic engagements.
While Israeli defence systems have intercepted many incoming projectiles, officials acknowledge that some missiles have managed to breach defences, causing damage and heightening fears of further escalation.
The renewed strikes underline the fragile and volatile state of the conflict, as both nations show no immediate signs of de-escalation, raising concerns of a wider regional war.
