I Never Said, I Dont Need A Man – Actress

Actress Monalisa Stephen, aka Gabacci, has said that being in love with a person does not mean the relationship has to end in marriage.
“However, I don’t think you need to put a (wedding) ring to something to define it as love. That’s why I don’t believe in marriage, although as a Christian, I know it is ordained by God. But, I don’t believe love has to be defined by a ring. If I love someone, that means I am already committed to them. I am already ‘married’ to them, so they don’t need to give me a ring.”
The controversial personality also that though she did not want to have children, she was dedicated to caring for children in need. She added, “I believe a lot in humanity and caring for others. I have adopted a lot of children and I am currently taking care of them.”
Decrying the attitude of many people to sad news about celebrities, Stephen said, “Whenever celebrities are happy, some people are unhappy about it. I applaud Sharon Oja for what she is doing now by not giving attention to the online buzz about her marriage. Many Nigerian women see marriage as a trophy, and can die for it. I am someone who is misunderstood and judged, so, if I put myself in that man (Sharon’s husband)’s shoes, I know that a failed marriage can happen to anybody. Are we not the same people advising people to leave their marriages if they don’t feel safe.”
