BREAKING: Heavily Armed Military Operatives Conduct Stop-and-Search Operation on Major Abuja Road Ahead of Planned Protest

On Monday, commuters on the Keffi-Abuja expressway experienced significant delays after military personnel set up a roadblock for a stop-and-search operation.
The checkpoint was established near Sani Abacha barracks, just before the AYA roundabout, causing a traffic jam that extended to Nyanya Bridge, over 12 kilometers away.
The military’s sudden action left many civil servants and traders, who commute from surrounding areas such as Nyanya, Karu, Maraba, and Masaka to work in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), stranded. Some were forced to return home after hours of standstill traffic.
This operation comes just three days before a planned nationwide protest against the rising cost of living and economic hardship in Nigeria, organized by a group of youths set to begin on August 1.
