BREAKING: Fubara Suspends Akuku-Toru Chairman, Appoints Caretaker Amid Immediate Shakeup
Rivers State Governor, Siminialayi Fubara, has suspended Otonye Briggs, the local government committee chairman of Akuku-Toru, with immediate effect.
In a statement signed on Tuesday, September 17, by Chief Press Secretary Nelson Chukwudi, the governor appointed Bitebobo Nelson Amieye as the new caretaker committee chairman.
Briggs has been directed to hand over all council property in his possession to the newly appointed chairman.
