Tension As Security Operatives Barricade EFCC Office In Lagos

Armed security operatives have occupied the entrance to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) office in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The development comes ahead of a youth-led protest tagged #ReformEFCC.
The organisers said the protest is aimed at kicking against some of the modus operandi of the anti-graft agency.
On Wednesday, the EFCC urged parents and guardians to warn their wards against partaking in a planned protest organised by a “shadowy group”
EFCC claimed that the group has been “actively campaigning on social media, recruiting impressionable young Nigerians, including students, to take up arms against the agency”.
Some Nigerians have been criticising the anti-graft agency for its night raids of hotels, clubs and hostels.
