APC Unveils New NWC at National Convention
The All-Progressives Congress (APC) concluded its 8th national convention in Abuja with the unveiling of a reconstituted National Working Committee (NWC) to steer the party’s activities and preparations for upcoming political contests.
The convention, held at Eagle Square, reaffirmed Nentawe Yilwatda as National Chairman, with Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru continuing as National Secretary. Benjamin Obi Nwoye was named Deputy National Chairman (South), while Ali Bukar Dalori serves as Deputy National Chairman (North).

In his acceptance speech, Yilwatda described the new NWC’s mandate as a call to unity. “We are ready to serve, ready to lead, and we are ready to build the party, together with the nation,” he said, pledging that the leadership would not “fail or falter” in executing its responsibilities.
The convention was attended by senior figures including President Bola Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, governors, and members of the National Assembly, signalling broad support for the new leadership team.
