Soludo Taps 39 Year Old as Anambra’s First Ever Female SSG
Governor Chukwuma Soludo has made history in Anambra State by appointing 39 year old Chiamaka Nnake as the state’s new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), the first woman to hold the position.
The appointment was officially announced on Monday in a statement by the governor’s chief press secretary, Christian Aburime. Nnake, who hails from Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area, brings to the role a mix of government and private sector experience, having previously served as the state’s Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning and as chairman of Solution Fun City Limited.
About her historic appointment, the governor’s camp cited Nnake’s track record in economic planning and leadership. “Her commitment to service and reform is exactly the energy we need in this office,” the statement said, highlighting her blend of youth and professional experience.
Before rising through the ranks of public administration, Nnake also built a career in business and strategy, attributes that supporters say position her to help drive Anambra’s reform agenda.
The move reflects Governor Soludo’s broader push to refresh his executive team as he advances key governance goals in his second term.
