Rivers: Supporters Troop Out To Welcome Fubara
Supporters of Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers trooped to Government House, Port Harcourt, in the early morning of Thursday to welcome back the governor and his deputy, Ngozi Odu.
President Bola Tinubu had suspended Fubara for six months at the height of the political crisis in Rivers.
But on Wednesday, the president lifted the emergency rule and directed the governor, his deputy and house of assembly members to resume work on Thursday, September 18.
Meanwhile, the former Sole Administrator of the State, Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (Rtd), has officially announced the handing over of government to Fubara.
