BREAKING: INEC to Conduct Bye Election August 6

The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced that it will conduct by-elections across affected constituencies on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

The elections are being organised to fill vacant seats in the National and State Assemblies, which have arisen due to resignations, deaths, or court annulments.

The INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, disclosed this during the consultative meeting with political parties in Abuja on Thursday.
