The Telephone Conversation: Aisha, Tola And Adorable Foundation, By Sir Favour Amako

Aisha, you won’t believe what I’m about to tell you, Tola whispered, eyes gleaming with excitement.

Aisha raised an eyebrow, half-smiling. “Please don’t tell me you found a way to escape this economic madness.”

Tola leaned in, dropping her voice. “Actually, I did.”

Aisha gasped, intrigued now. “Are you serious? What is it? Some secret island?”

“Better,” Tola grinned. “How about a three-day retreat? A place to unwind, recharge, and just breathe. No work, no stress. Just pure fun, faith, and fellowship. It’s called A Fight of Good Faith, and it’s happening from Friday, November 22nd to Sunday, November 24th at Jet Bleach Club, Sangotedo, Lagos.”

Aisha blinked, clearly caught off guard. “Jet Bleach Club? Wait, that’s beside Shoprite, right? But…what kind of retreat are we talking about?”

Tola couldn’t hold back her smile. “The kind where there’s a bonfire night, complete with DJ Gyration, dancing competitions, rings of fire, and so much more. I’m talking about special seminars that will leave you inspired and medical outreaches to give back to the community. There’s even a night of spiritual impartation and praise. Imagine sitting by the fire, connecting with new people, exchanging gifts during a love feast. It’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced before.”

Aisha’s jaw dropped slightly. “Dancing? DJ Gyration? Rings of fire? And all this during a retreat?”

Tola nodded enthusiastically. “Exactly! It’s not your typical retreat. It’s a chance to escape the everyday hustle. You know how hard things have been with the economy—everyone’s juggling multiple jobs just to make ends meet. This is your time to pause, reflect, and refresh.”

Aisha leaned back, laughing. “You’re really painting a picture here. But I have to ask—where are we staying? I’m not about to sleep in a tent, am I?”

Tola chuckled. “Not at all! Hotel bookings are already ongoing, and the rooms come in different sizes. Whether you want something cozy or spacious, there’s an option for you—and it’s affordable, too. All work and no play, Aisha, makes Jack a very dull boy. This is your chance to take a break before life runs you over.”

Aisha raised an eyebrow, genuinely curious now. “Okay, this sounds amazing, but how do I book? Who do I talk to?”

Tola grinned, pulling out her phone. “That’s the easy part. Just contact Adorable Nkiruka Umunna on 08062489828. She’ll get everything sorted for you. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this. It’s the perfect opportunity to escape the grind and experience something unforgettable. Three days of fun, faith, and connection.”

Aisha smiled, nodding slowly. “You know what? You’ve convinced me. I could really use this. I’m in.”

Tola clapped her hands in victory. “I knew you’d come around! Just imagine it, Aisha—three days to relax, laugh, dance, and grow. This is your chance to hit reset and come back refreshed. Don’t wait too long, though. Rooms are filling up fast!”

Aisha laughed. “I’ll text Nkiru right now. This is going to be something else.”

Tola winked. “You won’t regret it. See you there!”
