BREAKING: Tinubu Approves N70,000 New Minimum Wage
President Bola Tinubu has approved a new minimum wage of N70,000 for Nigerian workers, with a commitment to review the national minimum wage law every three years.
The announcement was made by Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday.
The decision was revealed during an ongoing meeting with leaders of organized labor, including Comrade Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and Comrade Festus Usifo, President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), along with other union members.
