US Election: Biden Blasts American Billionaire, Elon Musk For Backing Trump with Millions of Dollars
United States president and Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden has accused the country’s richest man, Elon Musk, of attempting to buy an electoral victory for Republican Party candidate Donald Trump.
This follows Musk’s recent pledge to donate to a new fund backing Trump for President.
Musk plans to commit roughly $45 million each month to the fund, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Biden reacted by saying he was “sick” of Musk and his fellow billionaires trying to “buy” the November election for former President Trump. He urged Americans to donate to his campaign fund to defeat Trump.
On his X handle Thursday, Biden wrote: “I’m sick of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election. And if you agree, pitch in here.”
Elon Musk recently endorsed Donald Trump publicly after he survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.
On November 5th, Donald Trump will run against incumbent Joe Biden of the Democratic Party on the platform of the Republican Party in what would be America’s first rematch election in almost 70 years.
