NEWS ALERT: Nigerian Cryptocurrency Billionaire Linus Williams Arrested

Linus Williams, known as BLord, was arrested by the Nigeria Police Force in Abuja on Tuesday, July 16. He faces allegations of cryptocurrency fraud, terrorism funding, and aiding internet fraud.

Force spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the arrest. “The FCID (NPF-NCCC) is currently investigating complaints against BLORD GROUP, BLORD REAL ESTATE LTD, BLORD JETPAYE LIMITED, and BILLPOINT TECHNOLOGY,” he said.

“These offences include cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks. We will conduct thorough investigations. Our cyberspace in Nigeria must be safe and secure by all means. We are committed to achieving that,” Adejobi added.
