12-Hour Ultimatum: Bobrisky Refuses To Apologise To Falana, Falz
Controversial crossdresser Idris ‘Bobrisky’ Okuneye has denied defaming prominent human rights lawyer Femi Falana and his son, rapper Falz, following their demand for a retraction and apology over an alleged defamatory audio recording.
The audio, which surfaced last month, reportedly involved Bobrisky claiming to have given the Falanas N10 million to secure a presidential pardon for his conviction earlier this year.
However, Bobrisky has rejected the voice in the recording as his, stating, “I, Okuneye Idris, aka Bobrisky, didn’t give Falz or his dad any money for pardon. As a matter of fact, no penny was given to them.”
This comes after Falana and his son issued a 12-hour ultimatum for an apology through a cease-and-desist letter signed by lawyers from Falana and Falana’s Chambers.
Bobrisky has since responded on Instagram, maintaining that he did not publish any defamatory statements and stands by his denial.
“The person that published an audio online should take full responsibility for what he posted in public,” he added, reiterating that anyone claiming defamation should pursue the publisher, not him.
